NAKMAS Safe Kids is the official NAKMAS anti-bullying campaign aimed at all NAKMAS licensed children
The NAKMAS National Governing Body has devised, in 2009, the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign in order to teach children who are licensed by NAKMAS to become aware of and how to cope and deal with bullying and abuse
In order to administer the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign within a NAKMAS approved and recognised club, group association or governing body, the instructor, coach or volunteer must have received formal training by NAKMAS on how to deliver the Campaign and to receive training within the areas covered; anti bully and abuse and how to cope and deal with these issues - that children face every day of their lives.
To boost the awareness of child safety, NAKMAS launched in 2009 a magazine called Stay Safe which is sent out to all NAKMAS chief instructors and their nominated welfare officer twice a year. Stay Safe covers child protection and welfare issues providing real life case studies, tips, advice and general information to ensure that the NAKMAS approved and recognized club/group are able to identify and deal with any child welfare issues should they arise.
Only a NAKMAS Accredited Person is competent and authorised by NAKMAS to deliver the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign. All Accredited Persons are legally allowed to deliver the campaign and are insured for this specific purpose. An up to date list of Accredited Persons appears on this website
